In a matter of weeks, the Alan Wake universe has gone from a completely inactive property to being one of sci-fi’s hottest properties. Alan Wake 2, is coming this year after crossovers and a remastering of the original. It is shaping up as one of the best-looking games of all time. Alan Wake 2 comes in different editions and includes a pre-order bonus.
Alan Wake 2 will also not be a physical release. Remedy Entertainment, the developer, cited this as a way to cut costs and keep the console price below the PS70/$70 mark. Although they do not have plans to make physical copies, it would be no surprise if Epic and Remedy partnered with Limited Run in the future to create something. It feels wrong that there is no Collector’s Edition of a AAA title in 2023.

Standard Edition Alan Wake 2 includes only the digital version. It is cheaper to buy the console version than the PC, as Epic publishes it through EGS and therefore won’t have to pay a large amount of money for a third party.
